Grimsby Town look to extend their unbeaten home Sky Bet League Two run to seven games as they welcome Notts County to Blundell Park on Saturday (3pm).

Michael Jolley’s side made it six unbeaten at home in the league last time out as Wes Thomas scored a brace to secure a 2-1 win over Swindon Town.

And the Mariners will be hoping to keep that run going in their final home game of 2018 as they host 23rd-place Notts County this weekend.

The Magpies picked up their first league victory in 11 games last time out as they beat Tranmere Rovers 3-2 to record Neal Ardley’s first win as boss.

And they will now be looking to kick on from that win, and lift themselves out of the relegation zone.

One to watch: Kane Hemmings

The striker is the Magpies’ joint-top goalscorer in the league this season, with Jon Stead, on six goals so far this campaign.

The 26-year-old has scored three goals in his last four league appearances, including a strike against Tranmere last weekend.

And he will now be looking to continue that form, and have a productive second half of the season.

The Magpies’ midfield three consisted of Keston Davies, David Vaughan, and Robert Milsom, with Nathan Thomas, skipper Jon Stead, and Kane Hemmings up front.
