Grimsby Town and the Mariners Trust are once again pleased to join forces to organise a collection of food and new toys to support those less fortunate within our community.
As Christmas approaches, it is important to remember that many people are not able to afford decent food at Christmas or to buy presents. With this in mind, we are looking for donations of food and any new, unwanted toys or presents (e.g. cosmetics etc). If you do not have any toys to hand, why not purchase a little something when you are in the Club Shop to donate?
The food should not be chilled or frozen and have plenty of shelf life still left on it. Seasonal products such as minced pies, biscuits and Christmas cakes/puddings would be particularly welcome as well as items such as tinned goods. We will then pass on to local charities so that those in need can benefit from your generous donations.
Your items can be left at the club offices from today and will end on Friday 21st December. On Fridays, donations will be welcomed in the Mariners Trust bar (entrance on main car park) from 10am until 4pm. If match day is the only available day you are able to make it to Blundell Park, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and arrangements can be made.
Thanks in anticipation.
