Grimsby Town fans have voted the Mariners’ 5-2 home Sky Bet League Two win over Tranmere Rovers as their favourite game of 2018.
Town picked up their biggest win since 2016 as Harry Clifton scored his first senior goal for the club in the November win.
Wes Thomas, Harry Davis, Mitch Rose (pen), and Elliot Embleton also got on the scoresheet at Blundell Park.
The hard-fought result, in difficult conditions at Blundell Park, meant Michael Jolley’s side made it three league games unbeaten.
And, in an exclusive poll on our official Twitter page, 35 per cent of Town fans said the match was their favourite of 2018.

The second-place result, with 27 per cent of the votes, was Town’s 2-1 home win over Notts County in the penultimate game of 2017-18, which secured the Mariners’ EFL status for the 2018-19 campaign.
The Mariners’ fate looked to be going to the final day of the season after Dan Jones 90th-minute equaliser had cancelled out Nathan Clarke’s first-half strike.
But striker Jamille Matt leapt highest from a corner to head home in the 93rd minute and make it 2-1 as the Mariners made it four games unbeaten, and ensured that they remained in the EFL for another season.
Last weekend’s impressive 2-1 away win over Exeter City finished third in the poll, with 26 per cent of the votes.
Mitch Rose slotted an 80th-minute penalty away to put ten-man Town back in front, just two minutes after Jayden Stockley had equalised for the Grecians.
Town put in a solid defensive display with goalkeeper James McKeown making plenty of brilliant saves as Mattie Pollock made his first-team debut, after Alex Whitmore was sent off on 51 minutes.
And the fans voted the Mariners’ 1-0 win over Chesterfield at Blundell Park in April as their fourth-favourite game of the year.
Michael Jolley’s men picked up their first win in 20 league games, thanks to Mitch Rose’s 88th-minute penalty.
And the win was the start of the Mariners’ five-game unbeaten run as Town secured their EFL safety.
Other notable Town wins in 2018 include the 4-0 home victory over Notts County before Christmas, the 3-1 Emirates FA Cup win over MK Dons, and the 2017-18 final-day 3-0 away win over Forest Green Rovers.
