Haines In Charge Against Exeter

Andy Haines will be in charge at Blundell Park on Saturday afternoon.

22 February 2018

SUNDERLAND referee Andy Haines will officiate Saturday afternoon's League Two clash with Exeter City.

An experienced official at this level having been in the EFL since 2007, Haines last took charge of Town in the 2-1 victory over Cambridge United last April, where goals from loanee Calum Dyson and Chris Clements helped the Mariners to a deserved victory.
Off the pitch, Haines is a project manager for EDF Energy and also interestingly once faced a 4,000-plus mile dash from a summer holiday in the Dominican Republic for his initial interview as an official back in 2005.
He has handed out 82 yellow cards and four reds in 27 games so far this campaign.
Mr Haines will be assisted by Steven Rushton, Alan Clayton and fourth official Stephen Wade for the game at Blundell Park.
