Grimsby Town Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of forward, Gary McSheffrey until the end of the season.
The forward has recently been training with The Mariners and will now be eligible for selection ahead of the Lincolnshire derby on Saturday and will wear the number 10 shirt.
Beginning his career at his home town club Coventry City, McSheffrey became the youngest player to play in the Premier League in February 1999 as he made his debut in a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa. During his time at Coventry, McSheffrey earned 3 caps for both England Under 18's and 20 age groups respectively. In total over two spells at the club, McSheffrey made over 240 appearances for the Sky Blues scoring 72 goals.
In total, the experienced forward has made over 450 appearances in the Premier League and Football League, scoring over 100 goals during this time. Gary will add to Michael Jolley's attacking options as we look to secure our place in Sky Bet League Two for next season.
