Town boss Michael Jolley says that he is keen to keep goalkeeper James McKeown at the club and he says that the club have had some good initial discussions with the player.
The Town stopper joined Town in 2011 and has played well over 300 league games for the club.
Speaking today after the training session at Oasis Academy Wintringham, Jolley said: “We’ve had some good discussions already with James.
“He is a player that is important to us. He’s a big part of Grimsby Town and we are doing everything that we can to convince James that he should be part of our future.”
Jolley will meet with all of his players individually next Tuesday.
