TOWN boss Michael Jolley was delighted with his side's final display of the campaign as they wrapped up the season with a 3-0 win at Forest Green Rovers.
Speaking after the game, he said: ''I was proud of the players and all the credit has to go to them.
''We said all week that we've done a good job in the last two months of the season in terms of working hard and doing the basics well and today was a further progression along that pathway.
''So a massive thanks to the players and the staff and today was a nice way to finish it off.''
On JJ Hooper's hat-trick
''JJ is a very capable player, what players need often is confidence and they ned to know they've got the faith of the manager and the players playing with them and we all believe in JJ and all our players.
''We think we've got some really good players so I'm delighted with him because he's put down a marker and hopefully can be a big player for us in the future.
''It can only help him, its been a long season for all the players but I'm proud of him and delighted for him today.
''But it all came from a place of hard work, we've asked him to play on the left hand side in recent weeks and he's been tracking back and fully doing a shift for the team and today was perhaps payback for him to get a hat-trick. ''
On big decisions to be made in the coming days
''We've got some difficult decisions to make because the players who perhaps hadn't done so well in the first part of the season or the middle part of the season have finished the season strongly.
''So we're gonna have some really good dicussions with our players and keep the ones that we want to keep but obviously they'll be some that do depart and we thank them for their service.''
On what he wants from the side next season
''We clearly want to have more days like today but today only happened beduase the players and staff worked hard.
''Nobody's going to give us anything next season, we're gonna have to be at it from day one of pre-season and build a team that we think can be competitive and then work really hard in training and games to give us a chance of taking points.
''We know expectations will shift giving the way we've finished the season but we can't take anything for granted - we're gonna have to earn every point we get next season.''
