The Youth Development Association (YDA) is pleased to announce another fundraising event to help the development of the GTFC Academy players.
We wanted to do something to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of our first ever Wembley appearance and so we are organising a sponsored bike ride from Wembley Stadium to Blundell Park over the two days of June 23rd and June 24th. We are hoping this will be the first of what will become the annual "Tour de YDA".
We are looking for around 20 people to join Dave Smith and Dave Moore in tackle the 180+ mile route. We are also planning to have other ex-players joining us on all or part of the route. We require each participant to pledge raising a minimum of £300 sponsorship in order to take part. Accommodation and meals will be provided however, participants will need to make their own way to the start point.
The provisional timing is to set off from Wembley at 9am on the 23rd June and arrive at hotel in the Peterborough area around 5pm. The second day will then start at 9am and finish at Blundell Park around 5pm. There will be drink and lunch stops along the route on both days.

On Sunday 22nd April, Dave Smith and a number of friends decided to ride the planned route in one go, successfully completing the 180+ mile journey.
