Grimsby Town midfielder Elliot Embleton starred in England U20s' 2-0 win over Germany at Colchester United's Colchester Community Stadium.
The 19-year-old, who is on loan at Michael Jolley's side from Sunderland, played over an hour as Paul Simpson's Young Lions beat Germany in their final fixture of 2018.
The Young Lions claimed the victory through second-half goals from Manchester City forward Lukas Nmecha and Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock.
Embleton was replaced by goalscorer Nmecha on 63 minutes, after earning his 36th England cap.
The versatile midfielder has scored two goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for Town so far this season, including a wonder-strike equaliser against MK Dons in the Emirates FA Cup. Embleton is now available for selection for the Mariners' Sky Bet League Two clash with Northampton Town at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
