Signhills Academy beat Elliston Primary Academy 2-0 in final to win Grimsby Town's EFL Kids Cup for second year in a row

16 November 2018

Twenty five football teams from 20 schools have competed in Grimsby Town's EFL Kids Cup football tournament, with Grimsby Town Sports and Education Trust.

Signhills Academy won the tournament, consisting of mainly year five and six pupils from Grimsby primary schools, for a second year running as they beat Elliston Primary Academy 2-0 in the final at Bradley Football Development Centre.

Signhills will now enter the Northern regional finals in Bury, with the chance of competing in the national final in the Sky Bet League Two play-off final at Wembley Stadium in May, 2019.

More than 200 kids competed in the six-a-side tournament, with each receiving a ticket voucher for next month's Sky Bet League Two clash with Swindon Town, which gives them two free junior tickets to the game when an accompanying adult pays £13.
