On-loan Preston North End winger Ben Pringle says he’s close to reaching full fitness, following his full Sky Bet League Two debut in Grimsby Town’s 1-0 defeat to Cambridge United last weekend.
The 29-year-old joined on a season-long loan from Championship side Preston in the summer, but has been working towards full fitness since then.
And the midfielder says he’s feeling better every week as he continues to progress at Blundell Park.
Speaking exclusively on iFollow Mariners, he said: “It’s another building block, and it’s my first game for the club so I’ve just got to try and play as many games as I can now.
“Each week I’m feeling better so hopefully I can continue to keep playing now.
“For me, personally, that’s when I’m at my best – Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday – when the games are coming thick and fast.
“But even if it’s not Saturday, Tuesday, I’m available now and I want to play every game.”
