Michael Jolley hopes Grimsby Town can continue their good home form as they face Crawley Town at Blundell Park in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday (3pm).
The Mariners are three games unbeaten at home in Sky Bet League Two – after wins against Port Vale and Colchester United, and a draw with Exeter City.
And Town also beat MK Dons 3-1 in the Emirates FA Cup first round at Blundell Park last weekend.
And Jolley hopes his side can bounce back from Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Newcastle United U21s – their first home loss in all competitions since September – against Crawley on Saturday.
Speaking on iFollow Mariners, he said: “There have been some disappointing aspects, and we don’t hide from that, but we also feel that there are some positives.
“And we must build on those positives, and try and move those forward and move up the league.
“We’ve got four of the next six games at home in the run-up to Christmas – that represents an opportunity for us to pick up some points, and we have to make sure that we do it
“But we feel we’re improving at Blundell Park, and we feel confident that we’ll deliver a good performance.
“I think there’s been a progression, in terms of how we’ve played, in the MK Dons, Exeter, Colchester and Port Vale games, culminating in MK Dons – which I thought was our best performance of the season.”
Tickets are still available for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Crawley Town at Blundell Park.
