9 November 2018

Grimsby Town goalkeeper James McKeown has won the League Two PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month award for October.

The 29-year-old won the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month earlier today, and he’s now won the League Two PFA Fans' Player of the Month award.

The goalkeeper, who has been at the club since 2011, comfortably won the award with 35 per cent of the votes.

He beat fellow contenders Matt Crooks (22 per cent), Chuks Aneke (17 per cent), Nicky Maynard (10 per cent), Danny Mayor (nine per cent), and James Norwood (seven per cent) to earn the prestigious award.

McKeown kept four clean sheets in five Sky Bet League Two matches in October as Michael Jolley’s side went four games unbeaten in the league.
