A frustrated Town boss looks back on the game.
Speaking on iFollow, he said: “It was really frustrating because, for most of the game, I thought we were in the ascendancy.
“We created a number of chances and their goalkeeper won man-of-the-match. Our centre forward went through in the first half and was tugged back, so the chance was of a lower quality than if he hadn’t been tugged back.
“We are frustrated because we didn’t take the chances that we created, and then we conceded two goals in the last part of the game.
“These lads have done really well in the last month and we have got to remember that. Equally, today we are really frustrated.”
On the two goals that his side conceded, he added: “You can pick the bones out of every goal that you concede, and say ‘he should have done this’ or ‘he should have done that’.
“These lads have just kept four clean sheets on the spin. Our defending generally has been good.
“In aspects of the game today it was good as well, but if you don’t take the chances that come your way, there is going to be pressure to keep clean sheets all the time, and no team can do it.”
