Grimsby Town’s U18s are in FA Youth Cup first round action at Blundell Park tonight as they face Mansfield Town (7pm).

Neil Woods’ side will be hoping to kick on from their comfortable 5-1 EFL Youth Alliance Cup victory over Rochdale at Cheapside on Saturday.

Mattie Pollock scored a brace, with Kyle Richardson, Emil Powles, and under-16 Owen Davey also contributing to the goals as the Mariners cruised to victory on home soil.

And Town will be hoping to carry that form into tonight's FA Youth Cup clash with Mansfield.

The Mariners will be aiming to get redemption against the Stags – who have beaten Town twice already this season, 3-1 in the EFL Youth Alliance and 2-1 in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.

Town squad: Battersby, Painter, Jamieson, Adlard, Pollock, McPherson, Powles, Saunders, Starbuck, Stead, Curran, Richardson, Poynter, Buckley, Burrell, Davey.

Admission to the clash is pay on the gate in the Main Stand and is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

The PPAG Bar in the Main Stand will also be serving hot and cold snacks tonight.
