Grimsby Town youth team return to EFL North East Youth Alliance action on Saturday as they travel to Roundwood to face Rotherham United (11am).

Neil Woods’ side, who sit in seventh-place, will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the league campaign as they face the ninth-place Millers.

Captain Brandon Buckley returns to the youth side, fresh from his first-team debut in the 2-0 Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday.

And fellow-youth team players Ollie Battersby, Mattie Pollock, and Rumarn Burrell will be looking to kick on after being involved in the first-team setup, as they were unused substitutes on Tuesday.

But the youth team suffered their first defeat in all competitions last weekend as they lost 2-1 away to Mansfield Town in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.

And they will be looking to return to winning ways, and remain unbeaten in the league, as they face Rotherham on Saturday.

The Mariners came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Notts County last time out in the league, having previously picked up three consecutive wins and clean sheets.

They beat Fleetwood Town 4-0 in the cup, picked up a 2-0 win over Hartlepool United, and claimed a 3-0 victory over Bradford City, after drawing 1-1 with Lincoln City on the opening day.

Stay tuned for exclusive interviews with Brandon Buckley and Mattie Pollock, as well as live coverage of Saturday's clash with Rotherham United.
