🚌Travelling To Walsall? Read Our Essential Guide Before You Set Off

30 August 2019

Grimsby Town supporters' liaison officer has given us the essential guide ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Walsall at Bescot Stadium (3pm).

GTFC SLO: Are there any known traffic issues en route to the stadium? I.e any road closures or roadworks?

WFC: No current roadworks are in place at the moment around the Banks's Stadium.

GTFC SLO: Is car parking available for Town fans? If so, please provide details (where, how much etc). If no, information on the nearest location would be appreciated.

WFC: Car parking is available at the stadium at a cost of £4 per car, £6 per minibus and £12 per coach, including disabled supporters.

The Green Zone car park is locked two hours after the final whistle; any vehicles left on the car park after this time will be locked in.

Parking is also available at the nearby Bescot Stadium Railway Station for £2.

GTFC SLO: What is the process for blue badge holders?

WFC: We currently have 25 dedicated disabled parking spaces on site.

These are all allocated to season ticket holders, but should you require disabled parking, please speak to the car park stewards on your arrival and they will help find the best available space. Please have your blue badge clearly displayed. We also offer a ‘drop-off’ service close to the turnstiles.

All parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the game, with car parks open from midday for a Saturday matchday and 5pm for weekday matches.

GTFC SLO: Where is the nearest cash machine to the Banks’s Stadium?

WFC: I believe the nearest cash machine is at the hotel which is the next turning after the stadium.

GTFC SLO: Will tickets be available on the day? And can our supporters pay by cash?

WFC: Tickets will be available on the day, and they can pay cash on the turnstiles or they can come to the ticket office window.

GTFC SLO: Please give details of pre-match venue for Town fans (on-site bar, away fan friendly pubs etc).

Our Away Bar opens usually an hour and a half before kick-off. The Park Inn over the road can accommodate fans as well. We have kiosks in the ground, but if our turnstiles aren't open we have a McDonalds and Morrisons around the corner on the retail park

Food available at the ground and prices kiosk menu attached.

GTFC SLO: What is the postcode for SatNav users?

GTFC SLO: Is our drum allowed in the stadium? What is the process for supporters looking to bring flags into the stadium?

WFC: Drums are not allowed into the stadium, unfortunately. Anyone looking to bring a flag or banner to a Walsall FC game should email for prior consent.

GTFC SLO: Any other important information.

WFC: Located 2 minutes off Junction 9 of the M6, we are very accessible from the motorway.
