Following last weeks useful trip to Barton United Ladies, our Women's team face Peterborough United Ladies Reserves in their second pre-season friendly on Sunday. Kick off is at 2pm at the Mick George Training Academy.

Peterborough United Ladies Reserves will be good opposition and will provide the Mariners with a good test. They play their football in the Northamptonshire Women's and Girls Macron Football League, and did really well last season finishing 4th in the league. They recorded 18 wins, 3 draws and just 5 defeats in the 2018/19 campaign.

And manager Dale Houlston is looking forward to the test: "I am delighted that Posh have invited us to play them and I am looking forward to seeing how we get on against what looks to be strong opposition. I've known their manager and coach Sue Harvey for many years. She is a super person and I look forward to meeting up with her for the first time for a fixture against each other. I am very grateful that she has invited us to play them. It has been fairly short notice, and we have one or two players away on holiday, but it will still provide us with some much-needed game time"

The doors will also be open to spectators who will be very welcome to go along and support the team.
