Grimsby Town F.C. are very excited to announce that a classic shirt is being re-released in time for Christmas.
After the success of the 1988 ‘Food Town’ shirt earlier this year, we have again teamed up with retro shirt specialist COPA to reproduce the jersey worn during the 1984-85 season.
Fans who remember the 1984-85 campaign should recognise the shirt as the one worn when the Mariners defied the odds to beat a star-studded Everton team at Goodison Park in the League Cup thanks to a last-minute winner from Paul Wilkinson.
Once again, the club consulted with a number of Grimsby Town retro shirt enthusiasts during the design process to ensure the classic jersey includes the same iconic features and details from the original. The shirt also includes the original logo of ‘Nisa’ who were club sponsors between 1984 and 1986.
There will be 300 of these replica shirts available and the club is advising supporters to pre-order theirs on the online store to avoid disappointment.
The shirt costs £49.99 and they come in a superb presentation box; making it the ideal gift for Mariners supporters this Christmas.
