Team News

Jordan Cook is likely to miss the game with a slight groin injury, while James Hanson is expected to be fit for the match.

Luke Hendrie (hamstring) and Max Wright (thigh) are getting nearer to being fit for the Mariners. Both players have stepped up training this week and could be ready for recalls.

As for the visitors, long-term absentee Daniel Ballard (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Form Guide

County have won five of their last six Sky Bet League Two fixtures and are a point clear of second-placed Forest Green Rovers at the top of the table.

Head to Head

Last Time:

Swindon Town 1-1 Grimsby Town

Ten-man Grimsby Town came from behind to earn a draw at the County Ground.

After losing Ludvig Ohman to a second yellow card on 65 minutes, the Mariners fell behind when Theo Robinson opened the scoring.

But their response was swift, as Luke Hendrie equalised within two minutes, and they were then able to hold out for a share of the spoils.

The Mariners have won four of the last six meetings between the two sides, with Swindon winning one and last season's one-one draw at the County Ground.

Man in the Middle:

Peter Wright will be the man with the whistle when the Mariners host Swindon on Saturday.

This will be his second season as an EFL official, following his promotion from the National League match officials at the beginning 2018/19 campaign.

Town fans might remember Mr Wright from last season after he had an easy decision to make following Paul Dixon's two-footed lunge at MK Dons.

In 17 games so far this season, he has produced 52 Yellow Cards and 2 Red Cards.

Key Men for The Robins – Eoin Doyle is the obvious one to look out for on Saturday. The Republic of Ireland frontman already has 17 goals to his name this season.

The Managers

Anthony Limbrick

“We are playing 4-3-3 and we are trying to pass the ball more. We are trying to be more aggressive and pro-active at home.

“We are really trying to get the fans on our side. That’s how I like to see the game and the players have really bought into that.”

Richie Wellens

“I think with Hanson up there they have not really changed the way that they play," he told their club's website.

“They’ve got a few new players. We played Grimsby twice last year under Michael Jolley, with a new caretaker manager in there he will be hungry to try and get the job himself. We’ll see if they do anything different.”
