Speaking to the press, Town boss Michael Jolley started with the team news ahead of the visit of Colin Calderwood's side on Saturday.
Jolley said: "John Welsh is still recovering from the hamstring strain that he picked up about two weeks ago so he's not trained with us so far. Martyn Woolford had a slight issue that we're still checking on, he's done most of the training this week so he has got a good chance of being available and apart from that, I think everybody apart from Elliott Whitehouse of course is okay.
"We've got a few different ways we can do that (replace Öhman), obviously Alex Whitmore came on in the game last week, Reece Hall-Johnson has been playing regularly, Joe Grayson has also played in the back unit as well so there is a few different ways in which we can try to solve that, so we will decide between now and Saturday which way to go."
On coming up to being at the helm at Blundell Park for a year, he said: "I've enjoyed the experience and I’ve enjoyed the challenge of trying to improve this football club on and off the pitch. It's a big challenge but an exciting one because we all know the potential of Grimsby Town, it's a big football club, certainly in this division and it's a football club with ambitious supporters who want to see it get back up those leagues. It's certainly an exciting place to work and I think we've made some good progress over this last 12 months and if we can replicate that over the next 12 months then I think we will be in an even stronger position."
