New Grimsby Town signing Ludvig Öhman says he is excited to join manager Michael Jolley’s “project” at Blundell Park.
The 27-year-old centre-half, who joins on a two-and-a-half year deal from IF Brommapojkarna, previously worked with Jolley at AFC Eskilstuna in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
And he’s excited to reunite with his former boss, as well as teammate Andrew Fox, and former opponent Sebastian Ring.
Speaking exclusively on iFollow Mariners, he said: “I’ve been hearing a lot from him since we started talking so I’m excited to come here.
“I was working with him a few years ago, and it’s the whole project he’s doing here right now – it sounds very exciting for me so I wanted to do this.
“It’s a move in my career, and I see it as an opportunity to develop my career.
“I played with Andrew Fox for six months in Sweden so I know him a little bit, and I used to play with Sebastian Ring’s older brother.
“It’s going to be nice to put on my boots and get out there on the pitch – I’m excited!”
Öhman will wear the number 5 shirt, subject to international clearance on his transfer, for the Mariners.
