Grimsby Town Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of striker Kristian Dennis from Notts County until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who moves to Blundell Park for the rest of the 2018-19 campaign, has scored six goals in 29 games in all competitions for Neal Ardley’s side this season.

Dennis joined the Magpies for an undisclosed fee in the summer, after scoring 21 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions for Chesterfield last season despite the Spireites’ relegation from Sky Bet League Two.

The striker spent two seasons at the Proact Stadium, scoring 31 goals in all competitions for the Spireites.

And Town fans may remember him for his loan spell at Macclesfield Town in 2015-16 when he scored 22 goals in 38 league games for the then-National League side, including a brace in the Mariners’ 2-0 home defeat to the Silkmen.

Dennis also had successful spells in non-League at clubs such as Stockport County and Curzon Ashton.

And the striker is now eager to get started for Michael Jolley's side at Blundell Park, as he looks to contribute to the Mariners’ goal tally in Sky Bet League Two this season.

Speaking exclusively on iFollow Mariners, he said: “I went and met with the manager yesterday, and it sounded really good, and interested me in coming here so I’m really happy to be here!

“Every time I’ve played here in the past it’s always been a great atmosphere – the fans have always been supporting Grimsby Town, which is a good thing – so I just can’t wait to get started now.”

Dennis will be available for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Newport County at Blundell Park.
