Grimsby Town Football Club are pleased to announce the loan signing of Blackburn Rovers midfielder, Joe Grayson until the end of the season.
The versatile 19-year-old has developed through the Rovers Academy system, signing his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2017.
Following his continuous progression and impressive performances at Academy level, Grayson made his professional debut for the club this season in a 4-1 victory over tomorrow's opponents, Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup playing the full 90 minutes.
Following his professional debut, Grayson then became part of only the third father and son pairing to represent Rovers, with father Simon representing the club between 1999 and 2002.
Speaking exclusively to gtfc.co.uk, manager Michael Jolley discussed his knowledge of the youngster. "Joe is a talented young player who we have known about for some time", said Jolley.
"He is versatile to play in several different positions and adds further strength, balance and competition to our squad. We are grateful to Tony Mowbray and Blackburn Rovers for allowing us the opportunity to work with Joe and we hope his experience at Grimsby Town can be a positive one for him and us."
Grayson will be available for selection for tomorrow's visit to Lincoln City.
