Having completed the first week of their busy schedule, Michael Jolley is happy with how his squad are progressing.
Speaking after Thursday’s 2-1 defeat at Boston United, Jolley said: “I think it was a good exercise for us,
“We had these two games against Grantham and Boston as part of the first phase of pre-season. Honestly, it was just about getting game time into the players.
“Everybody’s now basically played a game and a half, and we can really start to ramp up the preparations next week.
“Obviously we can start to filter out some of the trialists and the younger players, and get much closer to the team that’s going to be the team against Morecambe on August 3.”
