Gabriele Cioffi will be looking to improve on last season’s steady Sky Bet League Two campaign in the 2019-20 season.
Comfortably clear of relegation in 2018-19
The Red Devils finished 19th-place last season, on 53 points – 12 clear of the relegation zone.
Cioffi’s men had an up-and-down season, enduring a number of winning and losing runs throughout the campaign – similar to Town.
But they ended the season in good form, after picking up 10 points from the last possible 15, and will be hoping to take that into the 2019-20 campaign.
The 43-year-old former Torino and Ascoli defender became Crawley Town boss after Harry Kewell left in September.
It was just the Italian’s second managerial job – he had a brief spell in charge of then-struggling Serie C side US Gavorrano in 2013.
And Cioffi, who was on the Birmingham City coaching staff under Gianfranco Zola in 2016-17, will be hoping for a successful campaign in his first full season as Crawley manager in 2019-20.
Crawley have signed striker Ashley Nadesan from Fleetwood Town, and forward Mason Bloomfield on loan from newly-promoted Premier League side Norwich City.
The Reds released two first-team players this summer, with defender Bondz N’Gala and goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin leaving Broadfield Stadium.
The Reds extended forward Panutche Camara’s deal by another season, and they also remain in negotiations with midfielder Dannie Bulman.
