Cumbria referee Anthony Backhouse will be the man with the whistle for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two home clash with Bury (3pm).

It will be the third time in the 2018-19 season that Backhouse has officiated a Town game, having taken charge of the win against Newport at Blundell Park earlier this year, and the Mariners’ 4-0 defeat to Bury at Gigg Lane back in September.

He has taken charge of a mix of League One and League Two games this season, as well as some Checkatrade Trophy ties, having made the step up to the EFL from the National League in the 2017-18 campaign.

So far this season in 34 games he has produced 90 Yellow Cards and 4 Red Cards.

Mr Backhouse will be assisted by Barry Gordon and Andrew Hendley, the Fourth Official will be Robert Atkin.
