Inside The Mariner - Northampton Town

15 March 2019

Our 64-page matchday programme returns for the visit of in-form Northampton Town tomorrow afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

The Mariner, which was described as one of the ‘standout’ programmes of the season by Programme Monthly, will be on sale for £3 from the club shop and around the ground.

Here’s just a taste of what to expect inside the brand new edition:

  • On-loan striker Kristian Dennis talks about scoring goals, playing for former Mariner Jack Lester last season and the time he was a tea boy at a solicitors in the feature interview

  • Town boss Michael Jolley reflects on the Crawley and Tranmere games in his exclusive notes

  • Mike Worden writes about well-known players who appeared as ‘guests’ for The Mariners during the Second World War

  • We get to know Luke Hendrie a little better in ‘In Focus’

  • Next to be inducted to The Mariners’ Hall of Fame is the former youth team graduate who signed for the reigning Premier League champions back in 1996

  • There’s an in-depth look at our opponents, Northampton Town, their manager Keith Curle, squad profiles and history between the two clubs

  • Former Grimsby and Northampton player Jason Crowe features in ‘Player Connections’

  • Both Grimsby Town Sports & Education Trust and The Mariners Trust provide updates on their excellent community work.

  • And there’s photos, stats, classic Jim Connor cartoons, On This Day facts and an illustrated centrefold of when Mendonca lived up to his ‘Super Clive’ nickname 23 years ago.

All of this great content, and more besides, in tomorrow’s matchday programme. Make sure you pick up your copy for £3 around the ground!
