Grimsby Town Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Sky Bet Championship side, Middlesbrough for the transfer of striker, Rumarn Burrell for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old graduated from the GTFC Academy this season and was offered his first professional contract in April following an impressive two years with the club as a scholar. The young striker also broke into the first team squad in April 2019, going on to make 4 substitute appearances.
Burrell was part of Neil Woods' side who claimed their first ever League title in the 2018-19 season and after a number of impressive seasons which included 32 goals across his two years, Rumarn attracted attention from across the EFL.
We would like to thank Rumarn for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him all the best in his career.
