Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their upcoming friendlies with Albania in June.
The 20-year-old Town youth academy graduate, who scored three goals in 43 appearances for the Mariners in 2018-19, has been named in the 22-man squad by Wales U21 manager Rob Page.
Clifton is part of the Wales U21 squad for the two upcoming friendlies in Albania – on Sunday, June 9 (5pm), and Tuesday, June 11 (3pm).
The squad also features players from Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as players from Championship clubs Nottingham Forest and Swansea City.
Clifton has progressed rapidly over the last 18 months – playing 56 games for Town, and was called up to the Wales U21 training squad in March.
We would like to congratulate Harry and wish him the best of luck for his call-up!
