Grimsby Town youth academy players and staff have been attending equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) sessions as part of their ongoing life skills workshops this week.
Adie Merrikin, equality, diversity, and inclusion officer at Grimsby Town, presented the sessions to the players and coaching staff at Oasis Academy Wintringham.
The workshops have been delivered to the next generation of Mariners footballers to ensure that the club continues to develop an inclusive environment for everyone involved in the game and at the club.
Topics of discussion include racism, homophobia, sexism, faith, disability and the impact of acceptable and unacceptable banter in the football environment.
Academy manager Neil Woods said: “The academy would like to thank Adie for his time and input into the EDI sessions.”
