Today’s Women’s league fixture at Lincoln Moorlands Development has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Town are next in action next Sunday when they host Appleby Frodingham Ladies at OAW.

Women's Football Weekend

Following a record-breaking opening weekend in the 2019-20 Barclays FA Women's Super League, The FA announced plans for the first Women’s Football Weekend, with 16-17 November set to be another landmark moment in the growing popularity of the women’s game. The announcement of the weekend, that will become an annual event, comes after a momentous Barclays FA Women’s Super League weekend, as more than 62,000 supporters attended the opening-day fixtures. We've also seen for ourselves how women's football is quickly capturing the imagination of Town supporters, with over 500 people attending the first-ever women's fixture held at Blundell Park recently.

With the men’s international weekend creating a pause in the Premier League and some EFL calendars, The FA are calling on supporters to capitalise on the opportunity to back Women’s Football Weekend. We would also like Grimsby Town fans to get behind Women's Football Weekend and to support our women’s team on Sunday 17 November. It coincides nicely with our women's first-ever appearance in the Lincolnshire County Cup, with news that we have drawn Louth away at their London Road ground (kick-off time to be advised). Knowing the great following that our women have built up in such a short period of time, nothing would surprise us to see a good number of Town fans making the short journey to Louth and backing Women's Football Weekend on the 17th.
