Grimsby Town youth team return to EFL North East Youth Alliance action as they face Notts County at Cheapside on Saturday (11am).
Neil Woods’s side were without a game last weekend, after their Youth Alliance Cup match at Salford City was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
And the young Mariners will be looking to end their three-match winless run this weekend, after defeats to Mansfield Town and Lincoln City and a draw with Chesterfield.
But it will be a tough test for Town as they face fifth-place Notts County, who have won three of their last four league games.
The Magpies drew 2-2 with Bradford City in the Youth Alliance Cup last time out, but beat the Bantams and Burton Albion in the league prior to that match.
After this weekend’s clash with Notts County, the young Mariners travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, October 19 (11.30am).
