Grimsby charity Harbour Place are delighted to announce that Grimsby Town captain James McKeown has joined their team as a Patron.
James visited the Hope Centre yesterday to find out more about the work that Harbour Place do and the difference that they make to so many peoples’ lives.
Chair of Trustees Andrew Brown explained: “I contacted James to tell him about the fantastic results that our team have achieved over the past year and to see if he would be interested in supporting us and helping us raise our profile. It quickly became clear that James and his family feel very passionately about homelessness and James was keen to get on board. He is a great guy with a strong identity in the town and it is such a boost to the team here to have his support.”
James commented: “I was delighted to be asked and feel very privileged to be able to help make a difference. I am really looking forward to helping raise awareness for a great charity.”
James will be appearing at future fundraising and awareness events and will help to promote Harbour Place in his role as Patron of the charity.
