Listen to Town boss Ian Holloway after tonight’s defeat at the hands of high-flying Exeter City. Watch the goals - including the goal of the game from Sean Scannell.
Speaking on iFollow Mariners, Ollie said: “It was a bit of a strange one.
“There was lots of good stuff from us, we showed good resilience to come back and score a fantastic goal, and then the manner of the two that put us behind before half-time was slightly annoying to say the least.
“It looked very easy, and that’s unlike us normally. I think we’ve lost a little bit of confidence, they tried to come back and no-one gave up, and because of the timing of the two goals just before half-time, it knocked a little bit of stuffing out of us.
“I didn’t think we gave in, I thought the next goal was absolutely vital, and unfortunately for us we felt that there was a handball, and if we could have got back to 3-2 at that time, probably on the run of things, it probably would have been a little bit fairer than it ended up.
“We’ve got to defend better than that. On the whole, they’re a very good side, we matched them to a point, but the lack of things at one end is leading to a little bit of nerves at the other.
“I haven’t screamed, I haven’t shouted, they kept trying, but unfortunately on the night we weren’t good enough, and I can’t say any more than they deserved to win.”
