Speaking on iFollow Mariners, Ollie said:” We got the result, and it was a good performance as well, so double delight from a really desperate situation.

“When people doubt you, you’ve got to show you can come back and take that, and I thought the lads did that to a man. Absolutely excellent.

“I tried to clarify what I want them to do and not let a goal in. I said if we can get past one minute and not be one-nil down, I’d be celebrating on the bench. I might have had a little brandy myself.

“Sometimes you’ve got to laugh at things when it’s going against you. My goalie’s been making mistakes, my other goalie dropped one, but you’ve just got to get on with it.

“All I asked them to do today was be ready for local derbies, because I love local derbies. I was brought up in Bristol, and I was an underdog all my life, and now the team I played for can’t get anywhere near the other ones, but I used to beat them.

“It’s all about just doing it, and getting there and fighting and battling. We did that, and would I have liked us to play a little bit more when we had it? Yes, but it didn’t matter today.”
