Will Finnie will be the man with the whistle when Town travel to Colchester on Tuesday night.
This is the Bedfordshire official’s first season refereeing in the EFL following his promotion to the National List of Referees after one campaign in the National League.
Qualifying as a match official in February 2009, he quickly surged to Level Four by the time he was 18 in 2013, continuing his development ever since. His first EFL game was Scunthorpe United’s opening day clash against Swindon Town, before officiating in our 5-2 home victory against Port Vale in the opening month. His first-ever Town game was our early season 5-2 victory against Port Vale at Blundell Park.
Having officiated in 24 games so far during the 2019/20 campaign, Mr Finnie has given a total of 89 yellow cards and two red cards.
