This Sunday our women's team travel to Barton United Ladies for a league fixture (2pm kick-off). Dale Houlston’s side ere hot favourites to take all three points and maintain a 100% win record, but they will have to do so without the services of two key players.
We caught up with the boss for the latest team news. "Libbi Wright and Kirsty Smith are both carrying knee injuries and so neither will be involved. We need them to rest up and we don't want to risk making those injuries any worse, as we have some important games coming up. It's not a problem though as we have got a really good squad, and I can wholeheartedly trust any one of the players that will come into the squad to do a great job.
"There is quite a lot of excitement within the group at the moment as we have the semi-final of the Lincolnshire FA County Cup coming up at Blundell Park on 16th February. I am sure everyone will be working hard ahead of that game, wanting to impress and stake a claim in the starting eleven. But the focus for us really has to be on the league and winning promotion, so for now, we put the cup game out of our minds and concentrate on putting another three points on the board as we edge closer to winning the league".
Sunday’s game will be played at Baysgarth School, Barrow Road. DN18 6AE
