International Clearance has been granted by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) for new signing Danielle Brighton.
Women's manager, Dale Houlston commented: "I'm relieved that it's been sorted very efficiently and in a matter of days. Dani will now go straight into our squad for the County Cup game away at Grantham Town".
Dani returns to the UK from the USA after spending eight and a half years playing in the college soccer leagues whilst studying a degree in law and criminology. We spoke to the new recruit following her registration, which is set to be complete upon receiving international clearance. "I'm really excited it came through so quickly", Brighton said. "I can't wait to get stuck into it with this team and get going!".
Dani played for Lincoln City's Development Team and reserves until 2011. Following college, she moved over to America to study at to Bacone College, Oklahoma on a football scholarship between the years of 2011 and 2015. From 2016-2018, Dani moved to Montreat College, North Carolina and completed masters degree whilst being the graduate assistant women’s football coach.
