Grimsby Town Football Club can confirm that Moses Ogbu has left the club by mutual consent.
The Swedish/Nigerian frontman joined the club in the summer of 2019, penning a one-year deal.
Manager Ian Holloway spoke to Radio Humberside last week, explaining that he felt the best thing for Moses would be to move on from the club and return home. "I believe that he needs to go back to where he came from and see if he can be happy again", Holloway said.
"The boy took it brilliantly. He admitted that he hasn't seen his family in Nigeria for over a year, so we had a big hug at the end of it and I told the lads that."
Moses went on to make a total of 25 appearances, scoring four goals in his short spell at The Mariners.
We would like to thank Moses for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him all the best for the future.
