Listen to Town boss Ian Holloway after today’s crushing defeat at Prenton Park.
Speaking on iFollow, he said: “I can’t defend that in any way, shape or form.
“I asked them to be first to everything, and I don’t think we were at all.
“On top of that, we then gave it away left, right and centre, and it’s probably the worst doing I’ve ever taken.
“I wasn’t expecting that at all. I understand they’d won four in a row and they’d got the spirit going, but I thought we’d learnt from what we had.
“We had a fresh group ready to move up front, press and get the ball off them, but when we did we gave it away. Absolutely appalling.
“It’s very concerning if you’re in my situation. It’s nowhere near good enough.
“It just goes to show life’s about confidence, and having it and gaining it, but you’ve got to earn it.”
