Our women's team return to league action today, with the visitors being table-topping Chesterfield FC Women. With two wins from two in the league, Town will be looking to get the winning momentum back as they look to keep the pressure on at the top of the table in their quest for promotion.
Early team news indicates that captain Sophie Bartup may not be in contention today for a place in the squad following an injury. Influential midfielder Kim Brown may also struggle to recover from an injury sustained in last weeks FA Cup match.
Speaking ahead of the fixture manager Dale Houlston told us: "We may be forced into making some changes for today's game, but that will give others the chance to come in to stake a claim in the starting line-up. I have some good players here, and it's about trusting the players to come into the starting line-up as and when they are called upon. We certainly haven't got anywhere near the biggest squad in the league, but what we do have is a good squad. It's a long season with lots of games, and so everyone in this group knows that they will have an important part to play, and the game against Chesterfield is going to be a classic case of players having to be ready to come in to do their bit when the opportunity presents itself. This is an opportunity for those that are coming in to play well enough to keep the shirt in future games".
Today's game kicks off at the home of Cleethorpes Town, the Myenergi Stadium, Cleethorpes at 2.30pm. Spectators are allowed with strict social distancing and track and trace measures in operation. Admission is £3 for Adults with Under 16's free.
