Grimsby Town Football Club announce the departure of current Chief Operating Officer, Ian Fleming.
Ian has worked at Blundell Park for over 38 years and the Club have honoured his request to leave to focus on family.
Ian first joined the Mariners in 1983, becoming Club and Company Secretary in ’89 and later, Chief Executive in ’96. These posts saw Ian work under 10 different chairmen/owners, with 28 managers, presiding over 1,000 home games, and signing over 1,200 players. He has made seven trips to Wembley with the Club, one journey to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and has seen Town play at many English league grounds. Ian is one of the longest-serving football administrators in the country.
