Danny became Ian Holloway’s sixth summer signing, penning a two-year deal with the club.
During an impressive career, the left-footed 32-year-old has won the Conference South with Newport and the National League, or the then-Blue Square Premier with Fleetwood Town.
He started his career at Manchester United captaining the reserve side at Old Trafford after spending five years there as a young player and scholar.
He was loaned out to Oxford United before making his move permanent – he spent a year there as well as a three-year stint later on, in 2013.
His longest spell at any club came at Newport County where he made 149 league appearances and scored 33 goals during the Exiles rise to the Football League. He then moved to Fleetwood Town where he made 10 appearances while spending time out on-loan at Aldershot during his single season with the Cod Army.
In 2016, he moved to Northampton in the January transfer window before joining Portsmouth in the summer.
Danny made his Town debut v Morecambe on the opening day of the season.
