Young Harry Clifton signed a two-year deal at the age of 17, coming through the Mariners academy.
Signing a contract extension in the summer of 2016, Clifton was sent out on loan to gain first team experience. He enjoyed an extended stay at Grantham Town, scoring a number of goals and playing a pivotal role in their push for promotion.
In the summer of 2017, Clifton was offered a one-year extension to remain at the Mariners for the current season, with the young midfielder looking to push for a place in the first team for the 17/18 season. After appearing in the Checkatrade Trophy for the club, Clifton made his eagerly anticipated Football League debut away at Yeovil Town during a 3-0 defeat as a substitute.
Clifton finally made his full home debut in a 1-0 defeat at home to Exeter City. Since the arrival of Manager, Michael Jolley, Clifton has secured himself a starting position in the team helping the club secure their Football League status.
In the summer of 2018, despite having the option of an additional year in his contract triggered, Clifton put pen-to-paper on a new three-year-deal with The Mariners.
