Sean joined the Mariners on a two-year deal during the summer.
The 29-year-old, who started out at Crystal Palace, notched 23 goals for their academy during the 2006–07 season, graduating to the reserves before breaking into the first team in the 2007–08 season.
He later went onto join Championship side Huddersfield Town where he continued to impress and became a firm fans’ favourite.
In 2018, Sean joined Bradford City but saw his game-time restricted to 18 matches due to sustaining a stress fracture in his back.
Last season he made an additional six appearances for The Bantams - including their 1-1 draw against the Mariners back in August.
Soon after that, he went to team up with his old Huddersfield Town manager, Simon Grayson at Blackpool, penning a one-year deal with the Tangerines.
He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-21 and Ireland B levels.
Made his Town debut on 5 September 2020.
